The Greater Hampton Roads Crime Lines is pleased to announce the Eighteenth Annual Top Cop Awards Dinner and Silent Auction on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront, 3001 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA with cocktails and silent auction beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be at 7:00 p.m. followed by the awards program.
This dinner is held in part to raise the needed revenue to provide the 1-888-LOCK-U-UP telephone service & the P-3/TipSoft Software used to collect Text Tips and Web Tips, and also to honor local law enforcement officers, individuals, corporations, and organizations that have helped make our community a safer place to live, work, play and go to school.
A partnership has long existed among all of the Hampton Roads region’s Crime Line and Crime Solvers programs. We currently share the 1-888-LOCK-U-UP anonymous tip number, which is used to report the location of regional fugitives, the location of stolen property, the location and use of illegal drugs, and to inform law enforcement of criminal activity in our community.
The region’s seven local Crime Line/Crime Solvers programs are supported solely through contributions from private sources. Tax dollars do not support these programs. This dinner is our major regional fundraiser.
