UPDATE NOVEMBER 14, 2020 – This event has been temporarily postponed until the latest COVID restrictions are lifted and a new date is set. Thank you for your continued support.
On Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Noon at the Smithfield Center, Smithfield, Virginia, law enforcement officers from each Hampton Roads city and county who have demonstrated a commitment to a safer community in the past year will be recognized at the 2020 Greater Hampton Roads Regional Top Cop Awards Luncheon, sponsored by the Greater Hampton Roads Regional Crime Lines.
Individuals, corporations and organizations will also be recognized for their efforts toward safer neighborhoods and businesses. Because of the restrictions associated with COVID, the event will be a luncheon, with reduced seating available to allow social distancing. Sponsorship levels have likewise been adjusted, and no silent auction will be included this year.
Besides honoring local law enforcement officers, individuals, corporations, and organizations that have helped make our community a safer place to live and work, this luncheon is also held to raise the needed revenue to support our mission and purpose. The mission and purpose is to provide the 1-888-LOCK-U-UP telephone service and the P-3 computer software that enables local jurisdictions to get anonymous text and web tips.
