The Greater Hampton Roads Regional Crime Line is proud to return for another year, acknowledging law enforcement from area departments who go above-and-beyond the badge.
The event was held Saturday October 28, 2023 at the Westin in Virginia Beach’s Town Center.
The Top Cop honor went to Sergeant Edward Lord, Detective Logan Luketic, and Detective Justin Marriott with the Norfolk Police Department. The dedicated officers were recognized for putting their lives in danger while conducting high-intensity enforcement.
While the officers were attempting to apprehend suspects involved with stolen auto, they were shot at, injured, and put in compromising positions. Despite these challenges, the officers successfully deescalated the situation and took suspects into custody.
