Virginia Beach Hosted the 2012 Hampton Roads Crime Lines’ Awards Benefit Dinner
The 12th Annual Hampton Roads Crime Lines Dinner and Top Cop Awards was held November 3, 2012 at the Westin Hotel in Virginia Beach. The event included opening remarks by Councilman Glen Davis before a crowd of more than 250 people.
The resort city was coincidentally home of Virginia Beach police office Brandon Butler who was recognized as the year’s Top Cop fo rthe region. According to he citation released during the presentation, Brandon answered 3,329 calls for service in the previous year and made 376 physical arrests, including 133 drunk drivers.
